Together We Can
Make a Difference
Together we can certainly make a difference. We work with corporations, schools, professional organizations, and youth-oriented organizations to mentor lasting life skills such as teamwork, discipline, leadership and critical thinking, all in a fun and nurturing environment!
Donate
We change lives, one frame at a time. Help us expand our mission and support those we serve. As a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization, The Movie Institute gratefully accepts tax-deductible cash or in-kind donations from those with a desire to support young people with their exploration of creativity and training in vital life & leadership skills.
What type of in-kind donations can help? New or Used Computers, Laptops, Film & Video Equipment, Audio/Video Equipment, Costuming & Props.
Mentoring
Do you work in the motion media industry? The Movie Institute offers an opportunity to pass on your knowledge and inspire the next generation of industry professionals. We look for veterans in all aspects of film production to lend their expertise and teach skills to 5th – 12th graders and young adults. Our mentors train participants with respect, discipline, and love in our programs. As a mentor, you will inspire future directors, screenwriters, producers, composers, theatre-makers, and new media creators to bring their stories to life while also helping young people lead successful, purpose-driven lives. Learn more at our upcoming Mentor Mixer.
Volunteer
There’s a lot to do, and we have a small crew. We rely on our volunteers to make it all happen. For those who want to serve, The Movie Institute is a great place for individuals and groups to assist generally, or with a particular project or service need. You don’t need to know about filmmaking to make a difference. In addition to opportunities with one-day or week-long events and projects, we’re looking for help on our board and ambassador program, as well as general office support, social media, fundraising, and more. You can enroll as a volunteer for MI on POINT.
