Kamp Hollywood
Kamp Hollywood (“KH”), the flagship program of The Movie Institute, returns to Frisco, TX this summer for our 24th season! In this intensive, week-long, full-day Kamp, you will learn from industry professionals and collaborate with fellow Kampers to create a short film and a commercial! “KH” is a fantastic way to gain hands-on experience and insights into the world of filmmaking. Production groups will compete for top awards such as Best Featurette, Best Commercial, Best Actor, Best Writing and more…
During the Kamp, you’ll be immersed in various aspects of filmmaking, including screenwriting, stunts, gear training, directing, acting, casting, auditioning and pre-production planning with two full days of filming!

A kaleidoscope of movie making madness, where your creativity is king! 4 Days! 4 Hours! 4 FUN! From stop motion animation, to safe stunts, to crazy fun improv, experience a different workshop each day!

Kamp Indie · Independent Filmmaker Kamp
Make a REEL Indie short film with motion picture professionals. Whether you’re on-camera or part of the crew, collaborate with a focused, creative team to bring a story to life while having fun only moviemaking can bring.

Ages 10–18
The Big Brawl · Stunts & Film Combat Kamp
Work together with veteran Hollywood stuntman John Cann and his professional stunt team. Action scenes involve many moving parts—breakaway props, precision timing, realistic movements, and of course, making it all look authentic on camera by utilizing camera angles and post production sound effects.
It takes a mix of physical coordination and careful planning to safely execute a film fight. Experience how to throw convincing punches, how to sell a hit, block effectively, and work together as a team! You’ll put your newfound skills into ACTION by filming a choreographed BIG BRAWL scene in this exhilarating week-long Kamp.
