MI Sneak Preview – Open House

The team here at MI North Studio hope you’ll join us for our first Open House on August 24. We’ll be open for tours of the space, popcorn and snacks, help with fall registration, and getting to know one another as you learn about our programs. We will have some workshops taking place throughout the day, so you will get to see what it’s like for someone to participate in activities here.

One of the strengths of our methodology in working with youth is that our program is hands-on. We have a great hands-on experience for the Open House. One of our mentors, Devin Connelly, is bringing a television studio experience so that visitors can get a taste for running a camera, cutting from one camera to another during a live broadcast, adding a graphic that will appear on-screen, and toggling split screen. Participants will have an opportunity to try their hand at multiple cameras, lighting, audio, and mixing/control equipment. You may even get an opportunity to create a mock recording!
