The Movie Institute is presenting it’s first Ed-Talk (Educational Talk) at The MI North Studio, with industry expert, Ian Loomer, President of the Dallas Producers Association.

Mr. Loomer will interactively discuss how Artificial Intelligence will impact the Motion Picture & Entertainment Industry with all the good, the bad and the ugly. A fun and lively discussion.

Ian Loomer is a native Texan and a creative operational executive with over 20 years of experience in film, broadcast, XR, AI, and the virtual production industry. Through his company, Modern Creative Ops, he consults with SMB’s and enterprise creative teams on everything from workflow automation, XR storytelling, virtual production, and studio design and build. He serves as the President of the Dallas Producers Association (dallasproducers.org) and Tech and Operations for the Texas Media Production Alliance (TXMPA.org). An MI Ed-Talk is what you probably think it is. This is where an industry expert leads an educational discussion taking a deep look at how some part of society impacts the motion media industry or vice versa. These are fun conversations, and when they’re held at the studio the topics rotate frequently. These talks are also offered to schools, libraries, and other organizations that are interested in the discussions with students, people in the industry, or other groups such as scouts who might leverage the discussion in pursuit of a badge or journey completion.
